Introduction to Entrepreneurship/Opportunity Recognition

· This will provide foundational knowledge on concept of entrepreneurship and will examine the strengths and weaknesses of the projected entrepreneurial plan.

Strategic Approach to Sales & Marketing for Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners

· The contents under this head will provide theoretical inputs with practical application of marketing strategies and subsequently plan and execute cost-effective, innovative marketing strategies, including PR marketing with pre-existing, and digital marketing solutions. The owners and entrepreneurs of successful small business will share tips, secrets, and strategies to help each other to acquire a competitive edge and attract quality customers matching their products.

Generation of Finances (Capital and Revenue) for Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners

· This will provide techniques and knowledge to read basic financial statements; develop projections; learn techniques for product costing, initial profit-and-loss development & analysis, break-even analysis; manage cash flow & working capital; interpret various revenue models; and finally learn the art of reading and analysing the Balance Sheet.

Operating and Managing the Small Business Enterprise: Business Operations & Management, Designing & Implementing Systems, and Preparing Action Plan for Efficient Utilization of Project Capacity

· This will provide skills required to be inculcated for a successful start followed by effective management of a small enterprise which includes project management, time management, decision making, human resources planning & management, and the expertise to manage others. This will also assist you with the art of implementing a business action plan that focuses on effective management solutions for profitability.

Preparation, Documentation, Presentation, and Execution of a Business Plan

· In this section the participants will work on a group exercise alongwith other participants and may be other current or prospective entrepreneurs with an aim to write, review, critique, and further develop the business plan. 1. Biographical Note of Mr. Satish K. Beri, Director, OVEE Hotel & Restaurant Services Pvt. Ltd.

Satish K. Beri after post graduating in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from IHM, Pusa, New Delhi, in 1971 has been rendering his professional services as Manager/ General Manager of Hotels both in the Public and Private Sector. In addition, he has also been holding Senior Appointments on various Boards of Managements both in the Hotel Industry as well as in the Hotel Management Institute Bodies. Satish K. Beri has also been an Entrepreneur manufacturing Kitchen Equipment for Hotels and also rendering Consultancy Services to new Entrepreneurs in the Hospitality Industry. Satish K. Beri was also associated with Hotel Management Institute (BCIHMCT, affiliated to GGSIP University, Delhi) as a Senior Management Faculty & Advisor, for formulating Hotel Management Academics Curriculums and Syllabi for under-graduate and post-graduate programmes and simultaneously conducting Training Programmes in various management subjects.
